Tedeschi Trucks Band is a blues rock band fronted by the dynamic married duo Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. Formed in Jacksonville in 2010, the group has experienced immediate success, winning a Grammy for the first album that they released. The married couple is backed by an impressive supporting cast, with instrumentalists ranging from trumpet, to flute, and a backup chorus for vocal harmony.
Derek Trucks is the nephew of famed Allman Brothers Band member and drummer Butch Trucks. He started playing guitar when he was nine and was considered a child prodigy. By the age of eleven he had shared the stage with Buddy Guy, and he started playing with the Allman Brothers as a guest guitarist in his late teens. He officially joined the band in 1999, becoming their youngest member. Derek Trucks has been named twice by the Rolling Stone as one of their picks in the 100 Greatest Artist of All Time.
